Steeped in jazz, film noir, sci-fi, and action flicks, Cowboy Bebop is a classic anime that popularized the genre in the U.S. alongside big names such as Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Dragonball, and Gundam, and was also one of the first anime to be shown on American T.V. dubbed and entirely unedited as a launch series for cartoon network's Adult Swim programming block. The series follows a ragtag group of intergalactic bounty hunters. Spike; a former high-ranking member of an organized crime ring, Jet; a retired police officer who's part machine, part man, Faye; the unluckiest woman alive, Ein; Their dog, and Radical Edward; an eccentric computer hacker. Together, they just try to make a living from day to day, with mixed results, by hunting bounties all over space.
